Trip to Dawson Creek

We flew to Dawson Creek last Friday for my wife's sister's musical production of Frozen. 3.8 hours flight time with a one hour stop in Lloydminster for fuel. Low level VFR with turbulence and 30 knot headwinds the whole way. Visibility was excellent but we did fly through a few rain showers. Aircraft performed well but there was definately a persistent miss during run up. Could not possibly be a fouled plug at this point.
I managed to take some time to have a very good look and sure enough found a nick in the top plug lead for #3. This was repaired and the mag drop was now perfect. Radios work a lot better too. The trip home on Sunday was perfect. Clear blue skys, zero turbulence, and a 15 knot tailwind. 3.3 hours airtime non-stop to Saskatoon. We climed to 7,500 and set 23" and 2300 rpm for the whole trip.
