Cable Lacing and IFR Practice

Cable Lacing
The main battery cable from the alternator has been cleaned up and the wiring running next to has been cable laced down neatly.  The schematic for the revised wiring has also been placed into the technical logbooks.  The field wire from the alternator to the regulator was also replaced with sheilded 16 gauge wire.  There is still a tiny amount of whine in the headset but it can only be noticed on the ground with the engine at idle.  Remaining work includes replacing the field enable wire with shielded wire and installing some cable wrap to protect the B+ and field wire cables.

Took the aircraft up a few days ago and it operated perfectly.  Flew an instrument approach at YXE and, other than failing to put the engine at full fine during final approach, that worked well also.  I had added some USB charging ports near where the camera mounts so that worked nicely as well.  Hopefully I can get the video synced up with the audo recording - you would think that is simple but is really is not.

At any rate she is all ready for the summer flying season.
