Washing The Aircraft

The Comanche got a bit of wash and wax yesterday.  First sunny day in a long time.  It was very pleasant to mess around with aircraft all day.  Lots of little things fixed or sorted, including the over-due compass swing.

Had another go at this mark on the polished spinner.  Nothing I have done over the last year has reduced this mark.  The bird that left this dropping must have battery acid in its guts.  I think the only remaining option is some kind of polishing compound but I am reluctant to remove any material at all.

Spent some time flying back and forth across the Georgia Straight on IFR rules and performing visual approaches in Nanaimo and Pitt Meadows.  Followed up with a simulated ILS approach and missed approach into Abbottsford.  All in all a very pleasant (and tiring) day.
