It turns out that the onboard serial port is a hassle therefore stick with the USB port. Everything else is functional so it is time to move onto preparing the hardware and case. The old case didn't fit very well in any case. I might want consider putting the servo in its own RF shielded box and the raspberry pi could stay in it's portable case. Then it is just a matter of making the interface (two buttons, a switch, and three LED) have a presence where the pilot can see it. Perhaps in that space over the glove box?
- Perhaps include something for waypoints
(started) - What to do when reaching destination waypoint
- Defined tests when making a change
- Perhaps include a wide and a narrow band for the coupler - single pole flip switch?
- fiddle with the resistors to balance the brightness of yellow and green LED
- Figure out some kind of case with the buttons and lights mounted
wipe out old log files every now and then (shell script on setup should do)Put in some notes on left turn with high/low capacitance or what have youPerhaps use the onboard serial portFigure out how to get it log in remotely over wifi
